Two electronics companies based in Taiwan recently announced their sales goals for 2011 and expected to see the boom of LED industry in Taiwan. One of the companies with ability to manufacture almost everything from epitaxy wafers to LED down lights even claimed that it would become one of the world’s top 3 LED lighting products suppliers within 5 years. They do have good reasons for being so confident. LED lighting cost has declined by 20-30% annually over the past few years, while increasing awareness of environment conservation has caused the market demand to be doubled.
